That drive continues with the new Impala KinetiCore, the first helmet to feature our groundbreaking DualCore technology, which is the next-generation evolution of the award-winning KinetiCore design.

DualCore uses two layers of EPS foam, each with a different density, to handle both direct and rotational impacts. The harder, high-density outer layer sits just beneath the helmet’s polycarbonate shell, standing guard to absorb direct hits. Beneath that, a softer inner layer, separated by a lightweight polycarbonate skeleton, manages twisting forces that can occur during angled impacts.

Inside, Lazer’s signature KinetiCore crumple zones come into play. These engineered cone-like structures compress upon impact, absorbing and dissipating energy before it reaches your head. The result is our most advanced protection system yet. And because KinetiCore is built into the helmet rather than added on afterward, the Impala maintains a sleek, low-profile shape that looks and feels natural on the trail.

Smarter Protection by Design

The Impala KinetiCore introduces several rider-focused innovations beyond its DualCore protection. A new breakaway device mount replaces traditional Velcro straps with a clean, integrated bracket that securely holds your camera or light, yet snaps off in a crash to prevent added rotational forces.

The helmet's extended coverage provides extra protection around the sides and back of the head, while an adjustable breakaway visor can be positioned in three ways. For even more peace of mind, every Impala KinetiCore includes a RECCO® tracking system, with a built-in reflector that allows search and rescue teams to locate you without any battery or activation required.

Protection means nothing if you’re not wearing your helmet, so the Impala KinetiCore adds features that make long rides more comfortable. The magnetic buckle is quick and intuitive to use, even with gloves, and connects to straps made from recycled, eco-friendly materials. A grippy rear texture keeps goggle straps in place, while the Advanced TurnSys fit system ensures a snug, stable feel. The fit system features a thicker forehead band and larger rear basket to keep the helmet secure even on rough descents.

And when the temperature rises, 22 well-placed vents keep airflow moving to help you stay cool and focused. Available in three sizes and a variety of modern colors, the Impala KinetiCore lets you match your look while riding with confidence.
